Before We Go offers death literacy workshops and community conversations for the public, community organisations, and healthcare settings — practical, accessible sessions designed to help people build a better relationship with death, before they have to.

Bookings & Fees

Book a session

All doula sessions begin with a free 30-minute introductory conversation. This is your chance to ask questions, share what’s happening, and decide whether working together feels right. There is no pressure and no obligation.

Individual Sessions

One-to-one doula support, in person, by phone, or online.

  • Single session (1 hour)$96
  • Half-day intensive (3 hours)$256
  • Full-day intensive (6 hours)$464

Family Sessions

Facilitated conversations for family, whānau, or a care circle of up to 6 people.

  • Single session (1 hour)$120

Legacy & Life Story

A structured series to capture your story and what you want to leave behind.

Advance Care Planning

Two focused sessions to work through your wishes and key documentation.

  • Two sessions$192

Vigil Support

Presence at or near the time of death, so no one has to be alone. On-call availability during final days is quoted separately — please get in touch to discuss your situation.

  • Per hour (minimum 4 hours)$80/hr

Life Celebrant

Gathering stories, memories, laughter, love, and lessons to create a ceremony that honours their life and offers a meaningful space for remembrance, reflection, and farewell.

All fees are in NZD and inclusive of GST. Workshop and community education pricing is available on enquiry, see above. If cost is a barrier to accessing support, please reach out — a small number of places at reduced rates are available to those in genuine financial hardship. No one should navigate end of life without support because they can’t afford it.
